As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a Purchaser to join our Purchasing team in Port Alberni. This full-time onsite position offers the opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career close to home while working as part of a collaborative local team at one of the Alberni Valley's largest and fastest-growing employers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead procurement projects while ensuring compliance with established Supply Chain processes, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide procurement support and identify opportunities for improvement in the purchasing processes across the company.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, customers, raw material suppliers, transportation service providers, and work closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure that all products and materials are being delivered as planned and on time.
  • Support all purchasing activities by communicating inbound and outbound shipment tracking information to various departments and external locations.
  • Ensure all purchasing requirements are accurately maintained in our ERP system (Corridor).
  • Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, including rotation based AOG phone coverage.
  • Investigate and resolve purchasing issues in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Work with various departments to ensure steady flow of information throughout our supply chain.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • High School Diploma (required).
  • 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Any aviation industry experience (preferred).
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
