MUST HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE** In order to make the best use of your time please only apply if you are eligible to work full time throughout the year and not studying at a post-secondary institution General Labourer - Yard Warehouse Location: Newmarket, ON Pay: $20.00/hour Shift: Day Shift - 8:00 AM start Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Assignment ABL Employment is hiring a reliable and hardworking General Labourer for a busy industrial worksite in Newmarket. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying active and is comfortable working in a combination of warehouse and outdoor yard environments throughout the day. What You'll Be Doing This is a varied position where you will move between the warehouse and outdoor yard throughout your shift. Duties may include: General labour and warehouse duties Assisting with outdoor yard work Moving, sorting and organizing materials Keeping work areas clean, safe and organized Assisting experienced team members with daily tasks Following instructions from supervisors and senior staff Learning different areas of the operation Performing other physical/general labour duties as required What We're Looking For Previous hands-on work experience is REQUIRED for this position. Candidates MUST have previous experience in at least one of the following areas: Trades Construction Landscaping Industrial work Warehouse/general labour You must also: Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors throughout the day Be comfortable with physical, hands-on work Be able to follow instructions and take direction from senior staff Be willing and interested in learning about the industry Be reliable, punctual and committed to showing up for every scheduled shift Work safely and cooperatively as part of a team Be able to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift so you are ready to begin work on time Who Will Do Well Here? We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. You should be comfortable taking direction, learning from experienced team members and helping wherever you're needed throughout the day. This is not strictly an indoor warehouse position. You will be moving between the warehouse and outdoor yard, so you need to be prepared to work outside in different weather conditions.
