Job Description

Are you a skilled Automotive Journeyperson looking to join a dynamic, high-performance team? Do you have a passion for precision, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional workmanship? The Wyant Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Journeyperson to join our Land Rover & Volvo Cars Saskatoon team and help us provide outstanding service to our valued customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair: Perform thorough diagnostic inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Conduct repairs on components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Routine Maintenance: Complete regular maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicles. Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric systems.
  • Customer Communication: Work closely with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues, repairs, and solutions in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Partner with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow, timely repairs, and consistent quality.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets manufacturer and dealership standards. Perform post-repair inspections and road tests to verify performance.
  • Mentorship: Support and guide apprentice technicians, sharing knowledge and fostering growth within the service department.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyperson: Valid Journeyperson Certificate in Automotive Service or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Previous dealership or automotive service experience as a licensed technician required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diagnostic systems, vehicle electronics, and mechanical repair.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise, high-quality work while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment and contributes to a positive team culture.
