Job Overview :
Client is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support shipping, receiving, inventory, SAP transactions, 3PL coordination, and transportation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and other formulas used for data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile inbound orders against 3PL data.
- Reconcile inventory between SAP and the 3PL Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Reconcile outbound shipments and ensure timely closure within 24 hours.
- Monitor and process ICR (Inquiry/Change Request) documents and order changes.
- Build shipments and create or modify delivery documents.
- Work closely with 3PL and transportation teams.
- Monitor EDI and Non-EDI communications with 3PL partners.
- Investigate and resolve EDI and Non-EDI errors using SAP transactions.
- Respond to customer service inquiries regarding order status.
- Prepare reports to monitor past-due transactions.
- Create purchase orders in Ariba as requested by Warehouse Management.
- Reconcile invoices and shipping-related transactions.
- Monitor OT (outbound/transportation) shipping using SAP transactions.
- Align SAP transportation/shipping dates with 3PL shipping dates.
- Coordinate and facilitate rush orders requested by Customer Service.
- Perform inventory management transactions as needed.
- Provide shipping support to other U.S. shipping plants.
- Maintain shipping volume reporting.
- Participate in Lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- SAP experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Experience working with 3PL/WMS systems.
- Knowledge of EDI and Non-EDI transactions.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and formulas for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse, transportation, 3PL, and customer service teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
