Accounts Payable Clerk - Dennett Place, Delta, BC

Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk to work out of Dennett Place branch. In this position you will be performing accounting and other administrative duties. This is a great entry level accounting position for someone who has administrative experience, or a diploma in accounting. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:Responsibilities:Process a high volume of vendor invoices daily, ensuring accuracy, appropriate coding, and timely entry. Process employee expense reimbursement reports and supporting documentation. Process and reconcile corporate credit card statements on a monthly basisVerify and update vendor information. Prepare and process cheque runs according to established payment schedules. Review vendor statements, reconcile outstanding items, follow up on missing invoices, and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation. Assist with year-end audit requirements, including gathering and preparing requested documentation. Perform other accounting and some administrative duties as assigned. Shift 8:00-4:30pm Monday - FridayRequirementsPost-Secondary education.Must be able to effectively communicate with customers on a telephone or computer.Strong background in computer operations and ability to learn new computer programs.Must have good data entry skills.Bookkeeping skills a plus.Must have excellent typing skillsMust have a minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.Proficient in English language communication skills-reading, writing, and speaking.
