Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Airport Designer to join our team in our Calgary office. In this role the successful candidate will have experience engaging with clients directly in providing innovative design solutions in the aviation sector. Our current project portfolio includes major airfield expansion projects across Western Canada and the North. You will lead with a forward-thinking approach that promotes a team environment to improve overall group performance and client service. You will provide technical expertise on projects for public and private sector clients with a focus on aviation related projects.

What you'll be doing:
- Providing a leadership role in the preparation of proposals, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
- Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients; and developing new clients.
- Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
- Acting as a contact for all project-related client communications.
- Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major aviation projects.
- Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
- Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices.
Does this sound like you?
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with any of the following: APEGA, PEGBC, NAPEG, Engineers Yukon, or eligible for registration.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering for public and private sector clients with a focus on the aviation sector.
- Proven project management and business development experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout Canada.
