Service Technician

W.E. Greer, a leading manufacturer and distributor of cleaning products, equipment, and supplies, requires a flexible Service Technician for our Edmonton branch. If you value teamwork and a passion for servicing equipment and customer service, this may be a position for you.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for contributing to company success by upholding W.E. Greer's commitment to excellence through servicing and repairing equipment. In addition to these responsibilities (but not limited to):

· Diagnose and repair Tennant, Nacecare, i-Team, etc. machines efficiently (travel throughout Alberta).

· Prepare accurate work-orders and quotes using W.E. Greer's processes.

· Recommend replacement equipment, as appropriate and update Service Manager.

· Consistently present a professional image, both in personal appearance and condition of company assets.

· Prepare well for each service call, taking parts based on feedback from Service Manager and customer.

· Capture details of each service call on Canvas app & accurately report details of equipment and repairs.

· Promote service department products and services, including programmed maintenance.

· Maintain and clean service truck to demonstrate W.E. Greer's image as a leading provider of cleaning solutions.

· Perform regular safety checks on service vehicles and report issues to Service manager

· Drive in a safe and defensive manner to reduce incidents on the road.

Qualifications and Skills

· Two or more years in a similar environment.

· A mechanically incline capability at fixing equipment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent telephone manner.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn company ERP system.

· Ability to learn and understand product applications.

· Ability to "think" on your feet and make value added decisions with minimal directiion.

Compensation

· Guaranteed monthly draws ranges from $3,500 to $5,000 per month based on experience.

· Additional commission earned on 170+ billable hours per month.

Benefit package 50/50 shared plan. Company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and laptop will be provided. Full time position.
