- Interpreting results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis;
- Completing the gathering and cleaning processes for data from various sources including highly sensitive and confidential information, ensuring data integrity and quality;
- Using statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extracting meaningful insights;
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively;
- Identifying KPIs and developing metrics to track and measure business performance;
- Collaborating with colleagues to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes;
- Working collaboratively with departments to understand requirements and support identification of program objectives and related tasks;
- Monitoring data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions;
- Delivering evidence-based recommendations and meaningful insights to various teams to support strategic initiatives;
- Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting;
- Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporate Occupational Health & Safety program;
- Will perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must have a four (4) year post secondary school Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Computer Science or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalent;
- Must have over three (3) years of work experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Analyst or related occupation, including demonstrated experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel;
- Prior project experience with a programming language such as SQL, python and/or R for data manipulation and analysis is considered an asset;
- Must have experience and ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and maintain appropriate confidentiality levels;
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Must have experience in managing relationships with corporate and community partners;
- Must be a self-motivated, passionate individual capable of independent work.
- Given that this job is a new position a Physical Demands Analysis will be completed with the incumbent after approximately six months of occupying the position.
