This leader will connect suppliers, data, material planning, and project teams to improve value, resilience, and execution across the business.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesDevelop and execute company-wide procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business prioritiesLead, coach, and develop the Procurement team, creating clear accountability, strong service, and consistent practices across regionsBuild strategic relationships with distributors, manufacturers, and key suppliers that create value beyond unit priceLead complex negotiations, strategic agreements, supplier claims, rebate programs, and contract complianceDevelop category strategies that improve cost, quality, availability, service, and supply chain resiliencePartner early with Estimating, Project Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and VDC to align material strategies with project requirements and schedulesEnable industrialized construction through material standardization, BOM-driven procurement, kitting, and reliable supply to manufacturing operationsImprove forecasting, demand visibility, inventory strategy, and material planning across projects and locationsEstablish supplier scorecards and procurement KPIs for cost, quality, delivery, risk, and service performanceLead the development, integration, and adoption of procurement systems, pricing data, workflows, analytics, and reportingDevelop procurement policies, procedures, governance, and training that support consistent and scalable executionIdentify supply risks, suitable alternatives, and value opportunities while maintaining technical and project requirementsLead change in a practical and people-focused way, embedding continuous improvement into the team's daily workYour experience and skills7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, purchasing, or category management5+ years of experience leading teams and developing peopleProven experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and managing commercial riskStrong knowledge of construction, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, or project-based supply chainsExperience building supplier strategies, performance measures, and long-term partnershipsExperience improving procurement systems, processes, analytics, and data qualityDemonstrated ability to lead organizational change and work effectively across all levels of the businessSCMP designation, enrollment in an SCMP program, or equivalent education is an assetExperience with ERP and procurement platforms; JD Edwards experience is an assetStrong communication, negotiation, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbout HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
