Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to perform technical design and support hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects out of our Halifax, Nova Scotia or Peterborough, Ontario offices with the opportunity to serve in technical structural lead and project management roles based on experience. Salary: CAD 115,000-160,000/year (based on experience)Required QualificationsBS, BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering (concentration in Structural Engineering).Licensed Professional Engineer or able to obtain an engineering license within a year.6-15 years of experience in Structural Engineering.Knowledge of standards and codes applicable to the structural engineering discipline.Ability to independently perform analysis and design of concrete and steel structures and develop design drawings packages and technical specifications.Ability to function and show flexibility on project teams to complete a diverse range of tasks and manage priorities of self and others in complex, demanding situations.Possess excellent problem-solving skills and oral and written communication skills for internal and external communication, proposal writing and technical memos.Experience with coordinating with multi-disciplines and junior and/or senior staff.Preferred QualificationsExperience with design and construction of hydroelectric, fisheries related, or water resource projects.Experience in management of staff, projects, and client relationships.
