Security Site Supervisor - Commercial/Retail Facility
Location: Downtown Toronto
Position: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $28.00-$29.50/hour
Schedule: 0800 -1600 Monday to Friday, with flexibility for additional hours
Overview:Allied Universal is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Security Site Supervisor - Commercial/Retail Facility to join our team at a prestigious multi-commercial property in Downtown Toronto. This leadership role is ideal for a highly experienced security supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment and has a proven ability to lead, develop, and support a diverse team.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader with strong operational experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for tenants, retailers, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the security team.
- Develop, manage, and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while meeting operational requirements.
- Foster positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns while ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of security personnel.
- Complete incident reports, performance documentation, and operational reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, company procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of all direct and indirect reports;
- Understands property management and property security and life safety needs;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google products;
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security and life safety management; and
- Sound knowledge of industry techniques and emergent trends in security and life safety management.
