We are looking to fill a permanent position of Warehouse - Team Leader at Onward Hardware in Kitchener, Ontario, a division of Richelieu Hardware Ltd.

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible of the supervision of all warehouse and packaging employees. He ensures the safeguard of the assets (the installation and the assets inside), ensures that all health and safety regulations are met or exceeded, ensures follow-ups regarding the safety and conduct of all employees, ensures reporting to local management, ensures that staff receive appropriate training to perform their jobs and participates in strategic planning of operations.

More specifically, your main tasks will be to:

· Day to day operations:

o Ensure building is open and operational

o Ensure tools are in place so the job can be done – all warehouse equipment, computers, etc

o Ensure personnel are in place and properly trained

o Monitor flow of orders, credit notes and returns

o Ensure receiving is done and stock placed properly on racks

o Ensure all KPI's are achieved

o Ensure training programs are in place

· Report any concerns to senior warehouse manager

· Financial responsibilities include:

· Processing of time sheets and payroll

· Submission of invoices to head office for processing

· Efficient operations of the facility

· Liase with head office and management

· Staff morale and working conditions

· Inspire your team to give our customers the best possible experience each and every time they interact with Onward Hardware.

· Ensure we follow all Customers' and Vendor Guidelines, ensure all warehouse staff is trained on all their requirements.

· Direct the Supervisors, Lead hands and warehouse staff including coaching, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.

· Ensure Packaging department is provided pack orders in an accurate and timely fashion.

· Ensure all goods returned are counted accurately and the paperwork is completed in a timely manner after arriving.

· All products must be clearly marked; bin located and laid out in the most efficient way to pick the orders.

· Inventory Control-responsible for the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing freight.

· Ensure that all daily cycle counts are completed and the inventory adjustments are completed in a timely basis. Work with IC to determine reasons for inventory discrepancies.

· Ensure all orders are picked and shipped accurately on a timely basis to meet customers requested delivery date

· Ensure Daily cleaning, organizing, and security of the facility and prioritize the warehouse team's daily activities.

· Promote safety with in the workplace and adhere to all WSIB and other government regulations.

· Perform all other tasks assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.

· Senior warehouse supervisor is 100% responsible for all activities in the warehouse in the absence of the senior warehouse manager.

Requirements:

· High school diploma

· College degree preferred (some accounting knowledge is required)

· Minimum of 3+ year experience of warehouse experience

· Experience in distribution an asset

· Other certified training: Joint Health & Safety Certification / Class 1,2 & 3 forklift certification / St. John's Ambulance First Aid and CPR training

· Computer / Systems knowledges such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), JDE - AS-400, Warehouse Management System, RF gun, etc.
