This position is responsible for performing equipment inspections, making machine adjustments and repairs, and installing custom attachments on a broad range of construction, utility, and forestry equipment.

What You Will Be Responsible For- Perform full pre-delivery inspections on machines to ensure units meet customer specifications accurately and on time.
- Perform routine mechanical duties as well as assembly, maintenance, and minor repair of equipment to keep equipment operating reliably.
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty mobile equipment, including:
- Diesel engine and engine support systems
- Transmissions
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Differentials and final drives
- Steering, suspension, and brake systems
- Electrical/electronic systems
- Structural components
- Heating and cooling systems
- Machine operation and control systems
- Fluid and fuel systems
- Use testing instruments, hand, air, and electric tools correctly in assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection accurately and effeciently.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely, such as rigging, welding equipment, and cleaning/pressure washers safely and properly to support repair and assembly tasks.
- Perform equipment operation and road tests to verify machine and attachment functionality safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, including the safe disposal, storage, or recycling of hazardous materials.
- Use computer applications and information systems to support maintenance activities, inspections, and parts ordering promptly and accurately.
- Document assembly processes and record time on work orders completely and precisely to ensure accurate reporting.
- Perform any additional work requested/required to meet the needs of PDI, Sales, Service, and their customers.
- Complete assigned Brandt and OEM training modules to continually increase knowledge and skill set proactively and consistently.
- Foundational mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to occupational health and safety.
- Possess strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to work well with service team and branch personnel.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and achieve work-related objectives and goals.
- Shows initiative in learning about Brandt Tractor's products and customers.
- Previous experience with John Deere heavy equipment considered an asset.
- Previous mechanical experience in heavy equipment environment considered an asset.
- Journeyperson certification considered an asset.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work shift work.
