This position is located in Tilbury, ON and works a 12-hour continental rotation.OVERVIEWReporting directly to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring facility equipment and machinery are maintained in a proactive and efficient manner to support optimal production. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment; performing building repairs; completing scheduled preventative maintenance; maintaining work orders and documentation; and assisting in equipment error-proofing initiatives.
A college diploma is preferred, with certification in Millwright, Toolmaker, or Machine Tool Builder. Minimum five years of maintenance and/or machine building experience, plus hydraulic and fluid power experience; basic electrical understanding; and welding proficiency (GMAW and SMAW) are required.
The role requires following safety procedures and PPE, with the ability to be fit tested for and wear a half-mask respirator, and certifications such as Forklift/Lift Truck, Working at Heights, and Overhead Crane are listed as assets.
The role is in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to hot and humid conditions, physically demanding work, and regular interaction with heavy machinery and moving equipment.
You’ll assist in interacting with Electricians, support safety and productive workflow, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and help with research, trials, and the selection of new equipment and processes to improve production.
