Maintenance Millwright

This position is located in Tilbury, ON and works a 12-hour continental rotation.OVERVIEWReporting directly to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring facility equipment and machinery are maintained in a proactive and efficient manner to support optimal production. As a member of the RS team, the successful candidate will help foster a culture that prioritizes the well-being of others through health and safety best practices, while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork, and professional growth.RESPONSIBILITIESTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipmentPerform building repairs and maintenance as requiredComplete all scheduled preventative maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate work orders, records, and preventative maintenance documentationAssist in equipment error-proofing initiativesCollaborate with Electricians to resolve equipment issues efficiently and effectivelySupport the Maintenance Department in maintaining a safe, productive, and efficient workplaceEnsure all required paperwork and database entries are completed to support efficient workflow processesFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, including the ability to be fit tested for and wear a half-mask respiratorAssist the Engineering Department with research, trials, development, and selection of new equipment and processes to improve productionParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCommunicate equipment conditions and repair status to the Production Department on a daily basisComply with all Company Safety policies and applicable local, provincial, and federal regulationsPerform other duties as assignedTRAINING / QUALIFICATIONSCollege Diploma preferredCertification in at least one of the following trades: Millwright, Toolmaker, or Machine Tool BuilderMinimum five years of experience in Maintenance and/or Machine BuildingFabrication and machining experience requiredHydraulic and Fluid Power experience requiredBasic understanding of electrical systemsExperience with building and environmental systems considered an assetIndustrial Oven and/or HVAC experience considered an assetForklift/Lift Truck certificationWorking at Heights certificationOverhead Crane certificationProficient in GMAW and SMAW welding processesWORKING CONDITIONSIndustrial manufacturing environmentExposure to hot and humid conditions within the plantPhysically demanding workRegular interaction with heavy machinery, moving equipment, and limited movement of chemicals within the production area
