Electronic Assembler

Position: Electronic assembler

Location: Brownsline/Gardiner Expressway (Etobicoke)

Dayshift: 7am-5:15pm Mon-Fri

Permanent after 3 months of probation

Payrate: $20.00 per hour to start

Our client is a manufacturer of high-power solid-state transceivers for Radar, LEO satellites, LNAs, SSPAs, secure communication & radar solutions. They are looking to add to their production team.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Independently perform aerospace grade electronic assembly tasks in a static controlled and FOD free environment
• Work from approved drawings and assembly instructions with strict adherence to quality and environmental standards.
• Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) including soldering to IPC-A- 610 and IPC- 6012ES Standards with focus on precision and safety
• Mechanical assembly and integration of subassemblies into higher level functional assemblies ensuring each step meets the defined quality specifications.
• Use various tool such as soldering iron, microscope, screwdriver, etc.
• Perform basic electrical continuity tests using multi-meters, etc.

Education:

• School diploma Experience: 1. 1-3 years electrical circuit card assembly experience
• .Experience in reading detailed electronic assembly drawings
• .Hands on experience with IPC-A-610 and IPC-6012ES covering high performance aerospace printed Wiring Boards and Assemblies
• Working in a clean , FOD free and static free environment
• Aerospace and defense equipment assembly experience

Skills:

• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Must have ability to work with small tools and under a microscope for an 8 hour shift.
• Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
