The Retail Store Clerk plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining store operations efficiently. Working independently without management responsibilities, the clerk supports sales activities, manages inventory, and ensures a welcoming shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Manage inventory and replenish stock as needed
- Set up merchandise displays to promote products
- Support sales by assisting customers and maintaining product knowledge
- Operate point of sale (POS) systems efficiently
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the store
- Follow loss prevention policies and procedures
