Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: Full-time during initial training (approximately 1–2 weeks), transitioning to approximately 2–3 days per week
Location: St. Catherines, Ontario About the Opportunity Are you an organized, resourceful professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Production Scheduler to play a key role in keeping our production operations running smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating people, managing competing priorities, solving problems on the fly, and making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time. The successful candidate will receive full-time training for approximately one to two weeks, followed by a flexible schedule of approximately 2–3 days per week, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced scheduler seeking a part-time commitment with meaningful responsibility. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and master production schedules based on customer requirements, production demands, staffing levels, and plant capacity.
  • Coordinate employee schedules and shift assignments to support production requirements.
  • Monitor production schedules and make adjustments as priorities, staffing, or operational needs change.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to unexpected challenges, including equipment breakdowns, vacations, absences, and attendance issues.
  • Administrative duties
  • Contact employees regarding schedule changes, shift coverage, and other staffing requirements.
  • Work closely with plant supervisors and managers to communicate scheduling updates and ensure production targets are supported.
  • Balance competing priorities while maintaining accurate and up-to-date schedules.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts and proactively develop solutions.
  • Help ensure production workflows remain organized, efficient, and aligned with operational deadlines.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in production scheduling, workforce scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or a similar role is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions when circumstances change.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with supervisors, managers, and employees.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift throughout the day.
  • Strong scheduling and coordination abilities.
  • Flexibility to work beyond 4:00 PM when operational requirements arise.
