Key Responsibilities
- Quantity Take-offs: Perform detailed take-offs for construction materials, labor, and specialized equipment.
- Bid Coordination: Prepare, compile, and submit accurate, timeline-sensitive tenders and proposals.
- Subcontractor Management: Solicit, review, and negotiate competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Budget Analysis: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and addenda to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site superintendents during the pre-construction phase.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience estimating within a general contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard estimating and digital take-off software.
- Competencies: Strong numerical precision, excellent negotiation skills, and clear professional communication.
