C-P Flexible Packaging is a top-25 U.S. converter that takes food and consumer packaging from concept to shelf—HD flexo, extrusion, laminating, and pouches—under one roof. In York, your job is to keep those assets running so we hit speed-to-market, SQF/GMP quality, and growth without unplanned downtime. This role owns plant reliability so operators, customers, and our 60-year reputation never wait on a machine.
Performance Objectives- Raise critical-asset uptime (extruders, presses, laminators, converting) by at least 8% in the first 12 months through a documented PM/PdM program and root-cause close-out of chronic failures.
- Cut unplanned downtime hours 20% year-over-year while holding maintenance spend to budget; track and report weekly to Plant Leadership.
- Build and lead a multi-shift technician team that completes 95% of scheduled work on time, with zero OSHA recordables attributable to maintenance practices.
- Stand up or tighten a CMMS so 100% of work orders, parts, and history are captured; use the data to drive spare-parts min/max and vendor performance.
- Partner with Production and Quality so changeovers, SQF/GMP, and food-contact integrity are never compromised by equipment condition.
- Deliver two reliability or energy projects per year that measurably reduce cost or support our GreenStream sustainability goals.
You report to the Plant Manager and lead maintenance technicians across day and night 12-hour rotations. You will have CMMS, a defined MRO budget, OEM and local vendor support, and close daily contact with Production, Quality, and EHS. The plant is a busy, non-air-conditioned converting environment with high-temp extrusion and food-safety protocols (PPE, hairnets, GMP).
Essential Qualifications- 5+ years leading maintenance in converting, flexo, extrusion, or similar high-speed packaging; proven results on uptime and cost.
- Hands-on mechanical/electrical skill plus the ability to coach technicians on dies, drives, hydraulics, and PLCs.
- Track record implementing or running a CMMS and a preventive/predictive program that production trusts.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, lockout/tagout, and food-packaging hygiene (SQF/GMP or equivalent).
- Clear communicator who can run a morning huddle, write a work order, and present downtime trends to the plant team.
- Join a growing, privately held, fully integrated converter with nine North American sites and a 60-year track record.
- Direct impact on food-safe, sustainable packaging (recycled and compostable options) that customers put on shelf.
- Competitive pay, bonus opportunity, 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, and company-paid life/STD.
- Visible plant leadership role with resources to professionalize maintenance—not just fight fires.
If you turn wrench-time and data into uptime and are ready to own reliability for a plant that never stops, apply now. Help us keep packaging moving from concept to shelf.
