Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- First point of contact for core operational engineering activities:
- Troubleshooting and optimizing performance of equipment
- Evaluating technical aspects of operational deviations
- Leading screening, prioritization, and up-front scoping of operations engineering notifications/change requests
- Support pipeline/facility integrity programs
• Lead significant process safety incident investigations and mitigation resolution
• Lead MOC process Continuous Improvement efforts
• Participating in JHSC/JOSH/CER Safety Inspections
• Participate in Emergency Response Plan creation and exercises
• Provide technical leadership to field operations while assisting the team in identifying opportunities for improving operations within budgeted operating costs
• Developing and implementing rate tests of requested assets
Qualifications
• Professional Engineering designation
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical preferred
• Progressive years of related industry work experience
• Field-related experience an asset
• Strong leadership skills
• A self-starter, driven to seek out and identify opportunities
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to set priorities, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Thorough knowledge of project management, project execution and project engineering processes
• Working knowledge of ASME, ABSA, AER, CSA and regulatory codes related to the operation of oil and gas facilities considered an asset
