Dispatcher-Night Shift

Dispatcher Location: Brampton, ON
Pay-$23-$24/hr

Our client, a large and well-established company in Brampton, is looking to add an experienced Dispatcher to their team. This is a fast-paced role within a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week operation, making flexibility and the ability to work various shifts essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating pickups and deliveries, supporting drivers, managing trips, and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. Available Shifts:

• Sunday to Thursday shift, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Monday to Friday shift, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Training: All new hires will complete approximately 4–6 weeks of training, Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, regardless of the shift they are hired for. Key Responsibilities

• Create, monitor, progress, and close trips within the dispatch system.
• Coordinate and plan daily pickups and deliveries.
• Dispatch drivers and provide ongoing driver support throughout their shifts.
• Monitor trip progress and address delays, changes, or operational issues.
• Provide customer service support by phone and email, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling, delivery, and service-related issues.
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely records related to trips, deliveries, and dispatch activities.
• Work collaboratively with the dispatch and operations teams to meet service requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of dispatch experience, preferably within transportation, logistics, or a similar fast-paced environment.
• College or university education is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook/email.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and work effectively under pressure.
• Comfortable learning and working with new dispatch and transportation software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a positive and collaborative approach.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy and sometimes noisy office or work-from-home environment.
• Must be flexible and willing to work different shifts as required.
