Position Overview:
Accurate customs and product information is essential to keeping cross-border operations moving smoothly.As the Customs and Logistics Coordinator,youllmake sure the companys material and product records are complete,accurate, and ready to support importlogistics, customs compliance, tariff calculations, and internal decision-making.
Youllmaintainkey information such as HS codes, country and region of origin, material composition, weight, value, and other customs-related details within the companys ERP system. The information you manage will help the Logistics and Sales teams respond accurately to questions about tariffs, duties, and product costs.
This is an import-focused role that combines customs data management with inboundlogisticscoordination and service-partspurchasing.Youllprepare andmaintainimport documentation, work with customsbrokersand freight forwarders, and manage purchase orders for partsrequiredto support customer service requests.
Youllwork closely with Engineering, Warehouse, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics, giving you the opportunity to build a strong understanding of the companys products and become a trusted internal resource for customs andlogisticsinformation.
What We're Looking For:
Werelooking for someone with2-3 years of experiencein customs coordination, importlogistics, trade compliance, customs brokerage, or a related cross-border role.
Youveworked with international shipments andunderstandhow HS classification, country of origin, product materials, and trade agreements affect duties and tariffs.Yourecomfortable investigating incomplete information, working with large sets of data, and collaborating with technical and operational teams to findaccurateanswers.

WhatYou'll Be Doing:

• Research,determine,validate, andmaintaintheappropriate HarmonizedSystem (HS) classifications for parts and materials.
• Maintainaccurateproduct and material data within the companys ERP system, including HS codes, country and region of origin, material composition, metal content, weight, value, and other customs-related information.
• Ensure new part records include the informationrequiredto support customs classification, duty and tariff calculations, and CUSMA eligibility.
• Review existing inventory records and correct missing, outdated, or inconsistent product andcustomsdata.
• Partner with Engineering to understand each parts function, materials, construction, and product family whenadditionaltechnical information is needed.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse team toidentify, group, and weigh parts when product information needs to be confirmed or updated.
• Use Excel formulas and structured spreadsheets to organize, compare,validate, and prepare large volumes of information for ERP updates.
• Prepare, review, andmaintainimport-related documentation and records.
• Coordinate and track inbound import shipments to support thetimelyarrival of materials and service parts.
• Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to provide information, respond to questions, and resolve import or classification issues.
• Monitor relevant changes to tariff codes, CUSMA requirements, and other customs or trade regulations, applying updates to product records and internal processes where required.
• Create and manage purchase orders for partsrequiredto fulfill service requests.
• Provide Sales and Logistics withaccurateinformationregardingHS codes, origin, weight, materials, duties, and tariffs.
• Work across Engineering, Warehouse, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to resolve information gaps andmaintainreliable internal records.

• 2-3 years of relevant experiencein customs coordination, importlogistics, trade compliance, customs brokerage, or international shipping.
• Hands-on experience supporting international or cross-border imports.
• Working knowledge of HS classification, CUSMA or USMCA, Incoterms, country-of-origin requirements, duties, tariffs, and customs processes.
• An understanding of how product classification and master-data accuracy affect duties, tariffs, trade-agreement eligibility, and shipment costs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability tomaintainaccuracy across a large volume of parts, records, and data points.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas to organize, compare,validate, and prepare data.
• Experience working with an ERP system andmaintainingaccurateproduct or material records.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with incomplete or inconsistent information.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, operational, and commercial departments.
• Comfort working in both office and warehouse environments, includingidentifyingand manually weighing parts whenrequired.
• Experience with Visual ERP is an asset, but itisntrequired.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial machinery, engineered products, or service-parts purchasing is an asset.
