Part-Time Cake Decorator and Dessert Maker

Hokkaido Cake is looking for a responsible and creative part-time Cake Decorator and Dessert Maker to join our team in Kanata.

Responsibilities:

• Decorate birthday cakes and custom cakes according to customer requests
• Prepare cakes, cream, fillings, crêpe cakes and other desserts
• Pipe whipped cream and create neat, attractive cake designs
• Follow recipes and maintain consistent product quality
• Keep the kitchen, equipment and work area clean and organized
• Follow food-safety and hygiene requirements
• Complete orders accurately and on time

Requirements:

• Previous cake decorating or bakery experience is preferred
• Skilled in whipped-cream piping and basic cake decoration
• Able to prepare cakes and desserts independently
• Creative, careful and attentive to detail
• Responsible, punctual and able to work efficiently
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Available to work flexible hours, including some weekends
• Food Handler Certificate is an asset
