Are you ready to take your career one step closer to program supervision?

We are looking for a PDD Lead to provide support and relief to the Program Supervisor by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the PDD programs. This role will help ensure staff have the support they need, programs are running smoothly, and persons served are receiving consistent care and support.

Work Schedule: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. MST, six days on and three days off.

The PDD Lead will support the Program Supervisor with the following duties:

  • Help the Program Supervisor with the daily coordination of the programs by checking in on routines, activities, staffing needs, and any concerns that come up during shift.
  • Support day and evening Community Support Workers when they need assistance, direction or support with situations that come up during shift.
  • Provide guidance to the Community Support Workers: Help with questions around daily routines, care plans, documentation, and supporting persons served. The PDD Lead will help make sure the staff feel supported and have the tools they need to be successful in their roles.
  • Support staff performance and communication: Help monitor staff and bring forward any concerns, patterns or areas where additional coaching may be needed. The PDD Lead will work alongside the Program Supervisor to monitor any concerns early and support growth.
  • Assist with training and onboarding: Support new staff during their onboarding by helping them learn the program routines, expectations, documentation requirements, and how to support the persons served. The PDD Lead will help new Community Support Workers feel comfortable and prepared in their role.
  • Help maintain good documentation: Support staff with completing documentation correctly and on time. The PDD Lead will help identify any documentation concerns and provide reminders or guidance where needed.
  • Support data collection and monthly summaries: Assist the Program Supervisor with gathering information, tracking program updates, and collecting data needed for monthly reports and program reviews.
  • Update and maintain the Nurture Calendar with appointments, activities, and important program information so staff have have clear and accurate information.
  • Assist with menu planning and groceries.
  • Help ensure care plans and routines are followed.
  • Assist with incident follow up by supporting the Program Supervisor gather information, communicating with team and ensure any follow-up tasks are completed.
  • Encourage teamwork, open communication, and respectful interactions within the team.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the both persons served and the team.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Minimum one year verifiable experience working directly with adults that have complex behavioural and mental health needs. (PDD experience preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of adult mental wellness and home care best practices.
  • Flawless execution of documentation requirements for maintaining records and completing forms.
  • Unmatched written and verbal communication skills.
  • Completion of a post secondary degree or diploma in Community Support Work, Disability Support Work or Social Work (preferred).

Compliance Regulated Requirements

  • Own a reliable four-door vehicle to transport individual(s) in care.
  • An active Alberta Class 5 Driver's License.
  • A clear Alberta 3-year Driver's Abstract (3 years driving experience is not required).
  • A current Standard/Intermediate First Aid + AED with CPR Level C (Canadian Provider in person, or blended).
  • $2 Million Alberta Auto Insurance Liability coverage.
  • Active Alberta vehicle registration.
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained in last six months.
  • Clear Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services in last six months.

Physical Regulated Requirements

  • Walk and stand for extended periods, including long distances.
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, and maintain balance to prevent falls.
  • Work in varied environments, including outdoor and seasonal conditions.
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally reach overhead and outward.
  • Perform fine motor tasks (typing, grasping, holding) and repetitive movements.
  • Communicate verbally and maintain physical stamina for both short and long durations.
