An Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance through expert diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Working within a small team and reporting to the Shop Manager, this role focuses on routine vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer consultations to deliver reliable automotive solutions. This position requires strong technical skills in various automotive systems and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
Conduct engine repairs including brakes, suspension, and steering systems
Maintain and repair transmissions and electrical systems
Carry out preventive maintenance such as oil changes and tire repairs/mounting/balancing
Handle electrical repairs and lighting systems effectively
Ensure compliance with safety standards at all times
Interact professionally with customers to explain diagnostics and repairs
Maintain tools and workshop cleanliness
Keep accurate records of services and repairs performed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in automotive repair
Valid driver's license
Proficient in engine diagnostics, brake systems, and transmission repair
Knowledgeable in electrical systems and hydraulics
Strong communication skills for customer interaction
Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Effective time management skills
