Overview:

We're looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to support project teams from pre-construction through close-out. You'll help manage documentation, coordinate communication with trades and suppliers, keep project workflows on track, and contribute to delivering high-quality commercial projects across Alberta.

This is a great opportunity to grow your construction career, learn from experienced Project Managers, and join a team that celebrates success together.

What You'll Do
  • Provide administrative and document-control support to Project Managers and site teams
  • Maintain project directories, logs, tracking tools, and electronic filing systems
  • Coordinate distribution of drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, and change documentation
  • Assist with procurement, purchasing, submittals, and scope agreements
  • Support estimating tasks including takeoffs, budgets, and change order preparation
  • Review drawings and specifications to support project execution planning
  • Assist with scheduling updates, permit applications, and utilities coordination
  • Support project accounting tasks: progress claims, invoicing, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Attend meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on outstanding action items
  • Participate in project close-out, including assembling O&M manuals and as-built documentation
  • Build positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
Working Conditions
  • Extended periods of computer work may be required
  • Travel to construction sites as needed; valid driver's license required
  • Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
  • Site visits may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, walking, climbing, lifting, and PPE use
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in construction engineering technology (CET), engineering, construction administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in the construction industry (site or office) is an asset
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Viewpoint or MS Project is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a collaborative team setting
  • Understanding of construction contracts, documentation, and administration processes
  • Safety-focused mindset; WHMIS and CSTS training required
What's Offered
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Extended Health Care, Dental Care, Employee Assistance Program, and Life Insurance
  • Group RRSP matching
  • Share program eligibility after one year of service
  • Regular team social events
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Mentorship and continuous learning in a growth-oriented workplace
