As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety to our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.What you bring:Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPRAt least 1 year of security experience in a high-profile, customer-focused environment such as retail, government or healthcare.Law Enforcement/Security Educational Pursuits are an assetPrevious Use of Force training and arrest experience will be considered an asset.Ability to work at different sites across PeterboroughStrong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act (TPA), the Criminal Code of Canada, and 494(c)Conflict resolution and de-escalation skillsAbility to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an asset.Strong observational skills and situational awarenessPunctualityAble to stand/patrol for up to 12 hours.Pay Rate: $23.00 to $24.00Progressions are based on performance/evaluationTraining:Completion of Use of Force Training and Lawful Subject Restraint, and Crisis Management training are requirements for this role., and also require annual re-certification.
