People Finders is supporting the recruit of an experienced Vice President, Human Resources for an established not-for-profit client serving communities across the GTA.
This is a hands-on senior HR leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being both strategic and involved in the day-to-day. Reporting as part of the senior leadership team, the VP, Human Resources will provide leadership across the full employee lifecycle while helping strengthen the people practices, policies and culture that support the organization's continued success. The position is on-site at the Toronto location and supports employees across multiple GTA offices.
What You'll Do
- Lead HR strategy, programs and operations
- Advise senior leadership on people matters
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and retention
- Lead employee and labour relations
- Manage performance and talent initiatives
- Ensure employment legislation and HR compliance
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Support compensation and benefits programs
- Coach and advise managers and employees
- Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture
- CHRP or CHRL designation required
- Progressive HR leadership experience
- Strong Ontario employment legislation knowledge
- Employee relations and conflict-resolution expertise
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Sound judgment and high confidentiality
- Comfortable balancing strategy and execution
- Not-for-profit experience is an asset
- Ability to travel between GTA locations
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle an asset
