Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting for Garbage Collectors / Waste Collection Labourers for a full-time opportunity in the Moncton, NB area. This is a physically demanding role involving the collection of residential and commercial waste and recycling materials. Successful candidates will work as part of a team and assist with the safe and efficient collection and transportation of materials to designated disposal sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and physically capable individuals who are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities

• Collect residential and commercial waste and recycling materials throughout an assigned geographic area.
• Assist with the collection of waste from approximately 75–100 homes or businesses during a regular shift.
• Repeatedly lift, push, and pull waste and recycling receptacles weighing approximately 50–75 lbs.
• Work safely around hydraulic equipment and collection trucks.
• Maintain clear communication with the truck driver at all times.
• Maintain a clear line of sight with the driver while working around the collection vehicle.
• Learn and use required hand signals and review them with the driver before beginning work.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Remain alert and safety conscious while working around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Work effectively and positively as part of a team.
• Perform other duties related to waste collection as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in waste collection, general labour, construction, or another physically demanding environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, and pull materials weighing 50–75 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and surroundings.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with the truck driver and team members.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required.
• Reflective safety vest is required.
• Heavy-duty work gloves are recommended.
• Safety glasses can be provided by the client.
• Must be prepared for variable shift lengths, as days may run up to approximately 10-12 hours.
