Warehouse Associate – Calgary

Location: Calgary, AB
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: In Person

This location does not have access to public transportation. Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is required.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Warehouse Associate for a full-time position at a Calgary terminal. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced freight and warehouse environment, supporting the safe and efficient loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of freight.

Key Responsibilities

Count and inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
Strip trailers and stage freight in designated warehouse areas.
Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
Move and handle freight according to company procedures to minimize damage and freight claims.
Optimize loading and unloading processes to maintain productivity.
Review Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping manifests, and related documentation.
Sort and organize freight accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse area.
Operate pallet jacks and hand dollies as required.
Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
Perform other warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required.
Previous warehouse or freight-handling experience is an asset.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read, sort, and understand shipping manifests.
Good judgment when assessing weights, distances, and heights.
Ability to work independently and take initiative during downtime.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Must follow all workplace safety procedures.
Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs from shoulder to floor.
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
Must be available to work alternating evenings and weekends.
Reliable transportation is required as public transportation is not available at this location.

Work Schedule – 2-Week Rotation

Week 1

Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Week 2

Monday: OFF
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Saturday: OFF
Sunday: OFF

Schedule repeats every 2 weeks.
