Physical Therapist Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive patient evaluations
- Developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing evidence-based treatment for musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, developmental, and functional impairments
- Establishing measurable goals and monitoring patient progress
- Helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve mobility
- Educating patients and families about treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Maintaining accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff when appropriate
- Participating in continuing education and quality-improvement activities
- Maintaining a safe and organized treatment environment
- Canadian citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
- Active Physical Therapist licence or eligibility for licensure in the applicable U.S. state
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination
- Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy credential evaluation completed or in progress
- Valid VisaScreen Certificate
- Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification
- English-language proficiency
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Willingness to relocate to South Carolina
These Physical Therapist positions pay approximately $107,096 to $160,644.00 CAD per year, depending on the position, practice area, schedule, and experience.
