Clean ---Steel Finisher/Grinder AFTERNOONS

Job Summary ---The Cleaner 1 uses hand/power tools to remove surface imperfections from steel parts. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Comply with the Rights Responsibilities for All Employees listed in the Employee Handbook. 2. Complete work according to Cleaning schedule or as instructed by Supervisor. 3. Clean parts according to instructions on Cleaning copy. 4. Use hand-held scraper to remove slag from parts. 5. Operate small angle grinder to remove start/stop marks from parts. 6. Read all instructions on Cleaning copy before beginning job. 7. Visually inspect parts for defects and report concerns to Supervisor. 8. Perform material handling activities manually by packing parts on skids accordingly. 9. Use routing codes to locate where your department is in the routing sequence. 10. Place process magnets on parts and attach traveling tags to skids. 11. Load / unload parts into Tumblers or Tumble Blaster as instructed by Supervisor. 12. Perform basic Tumblers or Tumble Blaster housekeeping and maintenance as instructed by Supervisor. 13. Maintain an organized work area. 14. Demonstrate safe work habits at all times.
