Millennium Express has been a family-founded name in the transportation sector in NL since 2001. We're a Transport Canada Regulated Agent, TDG compliant, fully uniformed and insured. We're a hard working team and we're looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to join us!
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Bay Roberts to Whitbourne ( CBN area ) considered an asset
- Driver must be able to lift at minimum 50lbs
- Have prior courier experience
- Have knowledge of the St. John's Metro and surrounding areas
- A valid NL drivers license for a minimum of 8 years
- Clean drivers abstract
- Clear background check
- Be available from 8-5pm Monday-Friday with the possibility of having to work passed 5pm in peak season
- Mandatory 1 week on call rotation
- Have own PPE
- Be familiar with using a smart phone
Job Description:
- Safely operate a company vehicle ( van or truck ) to pick up and deliver shipments daily
- Load, unload and handle freight carefully to avoid damage
- Confirm deliveries with accurate paperwork or using the smart phone provided
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers
- Preform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies and procedures
- Complete a 1 week on call rotation ( usually 1 week out of every 6-7 weeks )
