Inventory Clerk

Location: Weston road and Steeles
Pay Rate: $22.00–$24.00/hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-Time | 3-Month Probation to Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Flexible start time between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM | Flexible finish time between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate inventory records and support the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory transactions are recorded accurately, inventory levels are monitored, and documentation is maintained in accordance with company procedures.

The successful candidate will work closely with the warehouse, production, purchasing, and shipping teams to maintain inventory accuracy and support daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Following the successful completion of the 3-month probationary period, the position will transition to a full-time role.

Responsibilities
  • Record all inventory transactions accurately using inventory management or company software.
  • Maintain organized and accurate receiving documents, inventory records, and related documentation.
  • Organize, label, and store rebar, accessories, and warehouse materials in designated storage locations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and consumable supplies.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, and stock variances.
  • Maintain proper identification and traceability of inventory items through labeling and barcode systems.
  • Verify that inventory records accurately reflect incoming, outgoing, and transferred materials.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, shipping, and purchasing teams to support inventory operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Perform other inventory and administrative duties as assigned by management.
  • Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices is considered an asset.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant inventory control or warehouse experience.
  • Possess the education and qualifications outlined above.
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Have strong computer skills and experience working with inventory management systems.
  • Be comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
