Summary

Reporting to the President, the Vernon/Kelowna Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing and mentoring his sales team to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share the territory. This individual will also have a list of customers to call on for the purpose of maximizing equipment sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the sales and administration team.
  • Manage and mentor sales representatives, providing coaching, performance feedback, and formal performance reviews.
  • Ensure proper sales coverage and territory management to achieve forecasted equipment (new and used) sales and product support revenues.
  • Utilize comprehensive used equipment evaluation, repair estimation, and remarketing strategies to achieve inventory turn and profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure accurate equipment information and effective remarketing strategies.
  • Oversee website content to ensure equipment information, pricing, photos, and remarketing initiatives are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with senior management to develop and manage the annual sales department EBITDA budget, including revenue, expenses, and net income targets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve annual sales, profitability, and budget targets.
  • Collaborate with other business units as necessary to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.  Achieve market share objectives established in partnership with OEMs.
  • Support the use of our CRM and quoting tools to monitor performance of sales representatives (e.g., closing ratios and market awareness).
  • Gather input from the sales team (competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment) for strategic planning to share with management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new customers.
  • Participate in planning of special events to promote the Pinnacle Equipment brand and equipment sales.
  • Other duties as required within the scope of the role and overall company objectives.
Branch Interface
  • Support and promote Parts and Service operations to achieve mutual business success.
  • Communicate and support company goals while fostering positive employee relations and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support customer analysis, brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HR standards, and workplace safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in the related field, or an appropriate combination of education and practical experience.
  • 5-10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within agriculture, construction, heavy equipment, or related industries.
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • Strong communication skills in various platforms (email, phone, text, in-person).
  • Able to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions.
  • Confident with decision making and providing direction.
  • Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines and expenses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, Adobe applications, and professional business communications.
Work Conditions
  • Working both indoors and outdoors, and hours of work may vary as needed.
  • Regular travel throughout the Okanagan region and to other Pinnacle Equipment locations in British Columbia is required.
  • Attend and conduct meetings, training, and other events.
  • Flexible schedule as needed to meet the demands of our customers.

  • $72,000 annual salary plus commission paid on unit sales
