The Opportunity

We're seeking a Carpenter with a background in commercial and/or residential construction who's ready to grow with a community‑driven general contractor. With a collaborative team, diverse project opportunities, and strong mentorship, you'll help deliver quality projects and a great client experience across the Okanagan.

As a Carpenter. you'll deliver high-quality carpentry by combining hands-on skills with attention to detail.

This role is based out of Kelowna B.C. with the possibility of travel to out-of-town projects. If you are positive, people-oriented, and excited to build meaningful spaces for the communities we serve this could be the role for you!

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform layout, framing, flooring, trim, cabinetry, ceiling systems, partitions, and finish carpentry tasks as needed on commercial projects.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to deliver precise workmanship and ensure specifications are met.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials such as wood, metal or composite components accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain job sites in a clean, safe condition; ensure tools, materials, and supplies are organized and secure.
  • Inspect work for quality and correctness; rectify any defects or issues proactively.
  • Provide mentorship or guidance to apprentices or less experienced carpenters when applicable.
  • Adhere strictly to building codes, safety regulations, company safety policies, and quality assurance standards.
  • Participate in daily job briefings, progress meetings, and reporting; communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 year's experience with commercial and residential projects.
  • Multi Family Construction an asset
  • Red Seal Carpentry Certification preferred; Journeyman level or equivalent experience considered.
  • Demonstrated history of increasing responsibility, such as leading crew members, coordinating tasks, or managing project scopes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and plans.
  • Strong math skills for measurement, layout, and calculation of materials.
  • Reliable tool set and personal protective equipment; ability to maintain tools and ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Occupational First Aid ticket – level 2 or 3 as asset.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean abstract.
  • Keep organized and remain confident while shifting priorities.
  • Can effectively create tasks lists and execute.
  • Punctuality and a positive can-do attitude is essential.
