About Penta

We are an agricultural manufacturer specializing in the production of TMR mixers, spreaders, and dump boxes. With over 25 years in business, we've established ourselves as a trusted builder of innovative, durable farm equipment.

We operate two production facilities in Ontario, located in Glencoe and Thamesville. Our team is focused on building quality equipment through a practical, hands-on approach, where people take pride in their work and hold a high standard for how the job gets done.

We work in an environment where teamwork, reliability, and accountability matter, and where people are expected to contribute to getting the job done right.

The Opportunity

We're looking for Welders to join our production team in Glencoe, ON. This is a hands-on production welding role working primarily with MIG processes and carbon steel to fabricate the parts and assemblies that form the foundation of our equipment.
Depending on your experience and production assignment, you may focus on fitting and tacking assemblies, final weld-out, or a combination of both. Our Welders work from engineering drawings and blueprints, fit and align components using fixtures and measuring tools, and produce clean, consistent welds that meet our quality and engineering standards.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and weld symbols
  • Perform MIG welding, fitting and tacking on carbon and stainless steel
  • Fit, align and position components using fixtures, measuring tools and layout techniques
  • Produce clean, consistent welds that meet dimensional, structural and appearance requirements
  • Inspect your own work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment for assigned work
  • Safely move and position materials using overhead cranes and hoists
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Work with your Supervisor, Quality and other production team members to resolve issues and keep work moving through production

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who take pride in producing quality work and can work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has previous MIG welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication or a similar environment
  • Can confidently read and work from blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Understands fit-up, measurement and dimensional accuracy
  • Produces consistent, quality welds with minimal repair or rework
  • Is comfortable using grinders, drills, measuring tools and other common fabrication equipment
  • Has experience using overhead cranes and hoists, or is willing to be trained
  • Can safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a variety of positions
  • Works independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • Previous experience in custom fabrication or agricultural equipment manufacturing is considered an asset.

What We Offer

  • Regular, full-time employment
  • Competitive hourly wages, paid biweekly
  • Quarterly bonus eligibility
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Annual safety wear allowance
  • Retirement savings plan with monthly employer contributions
  • Stable, year-round work with an established Canadian manufacturer
