They are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their growing sales team and support customer relationships, business development, and market growth throughout North America.
This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who understands the garage door industry and enjoys combining technical product knowledge with consultative B2B sales.
Position Overview
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding customer relationships while identifying new opportunities to increase market share across North America, with a strong focus on the U.S. market.
This role is a combination of account management, business development, customer relationship management, and technical sales support. The successful candidate will manage existing customer accounts, develop new business opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their needs and providing product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio while developing strong, long-term relationships.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding:
- Orders
- Pricing
- Product availability
- Delivery timelines
- Quality concerns
- Returns and account support
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase customer penetration.
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, relationship building, and market development.
- Conduct customer visits, product discussions, and business reviews as required.
- Provide product knowledge and technical guidance related to garage door hardware applications.
- Prepare quotations and recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, product specifications, and customer requirements.
- Support customers with product configuration for custom or special applications.
- Work closely with internal teams including production, customer service, and operations to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Support order management processes and help improve ordering efficiencies.
- Monitor customer needs and communicate feedback regarding product improvements and market opportunities.
- Attend industry events and trade shows as required.
- Help maintain strong service levels and support company goals around customer satisfaction and delivery performance.
- Experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
- Previous experience within the garage door industry is strongly preferred and considered a key asset.
- Experience working with garage door manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, or related building product industries is highly desirable.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage both existing accounts and develop new opportunities.
- Ability to understand technical products and confidently communicate solutions to customers.
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer information.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an asset.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand pricing, costs, and customer requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and industry experience will also be considered.

Travel is an important component of this position. The role requires approximately 25% travel throughout North America, including Canada and the United States. Travel will primarily involve:

- Industry trade shows and events.
