Automotive Mechanic Technician

Role Description

We are currently looking for an Automotive Mechanic to join one of our clients in North York, ON. This is a full-time, on-site position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. This may include working on engines, brakes, suspension, transmissions, electrical systems, and other automotive components.

You will use diagnostic equipment and various hand and power tools to identify and repair issues while following proper safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines. You will also be expected to keep your work area clean and organized, document completed work, and communicate clearly about vehicle issues and recommended repairs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automotive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards and proper repair procedures
• Comfortable using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional and reliable work ethic
• Previous experience in a repair shop, dealership, or similar environment is an asset
• Automotive certification or a mechanic's license is preferred but not required
• Candidates with strong hands-on experience who are not yet certified are encouraged to apply
