F/T or P/T Operations Individual Required

Job Description:

We require a warehouse and showroom maintenance operations individual to join our team. If you are interested in pursuing a career in a busy retail / project environment, this opportunity may be of interest to you. Training provided.

• You unpack boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh up to 30 lbs) You help in assembling / installing light fixtures to be put on display. You are comfortable on ladders up to 10 feet.
• You are responsible for shipping and receiving orders on a daily basis. This will include checking off packing slips, reporting descrepencies, and contacting customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for overall customer experience and presentation of the showroom. You are responsible to work with our team in the product/inventory management in the store; overseeing visual merchandising and sell-through in the store. Showroom maintenance is key.
• Ability to multi-task and complete assigned tasks quickly and correctly while also being mindful of customer service and the needs of clients within the showroom

What we look for:

• Experience working within a customer service and/ or interior design with both sales and service targets
• Working knowledge of shop operation processes
• The ability to solve problems in a timely manner
• Work flexible hours, including holidays, nights and weekends to meet the needs of the business
• Good IT Skills
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding communication and operational skills
• Flexibility to work across Sunday to Saturday is required.
• Second language spoken will be considered an asset.

In the beginning, Vancouver Lighting was primarily a track lighting manufacturer with a small showroom, but with rapid expansion of the retail showroom sales, the operation was moved to a much larger showroom facility on Bridgeport Road in Richmond in order to meet demand.
