Customer Service Representative

Location: North Bay, ON Hybrid – Customer Sites & Shop
Schedule: 30–40 hours/week at customer locations and in-shop
Shift: To be negotiated weekly with management
Salary: $60,000–$70,000/year or hourly rate, based on experience

Additional Perks: Open to negotiation – potential vehicle expenses, commission/performance incentives, and other more

Position Overview

Our client is an established metal fabrication company with more than 40 years of industry experience. Their highly skilled team provides a range of services, including machining, custom metal fabrication, and powder coating, serving customers across Canada

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting business growth. This role will involve regular customer visits, identifying new business opportunities, communicating customer needs to management, and contributing ideas to improve and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit existing customers regularly to discuss work in progress, performance, concerns, and overall satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers.
  • Visit prospective customers and attend trade shows and industry events to generate new leads and business opportunities.
  • Identify customer needs and communicate opportunities to management.
  • Discuss customer issues, feedback, and new ideas with management.
  • Proactively bring forward ideas and recommendations to improve operations, customer service, and business growth.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues are addressed and expectations are met.
  • Support the company in identifying and developing new business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in Metal and machining related manufacturing industry
  • Comfortable visiting customers and building professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong business mindset.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and bring new ideas to management.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous customer service, sales, account management, or business development experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and internal teams.
