Construction Site Superintendent

Our client is a well-established construction company with a strong portfolio of commercial and ICI projects. They are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to lead a major ground-up construction project in the Peterborough area.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall site leadership and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities.
• Manage site safety, quality, scheduling, and day-to-day project execution.
• Review drawings and specifications and address constructability and site issues.
• Develop look-ahead schedules and monitor progress against project timelines.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee inspections, deficiencies, commissioning, and project close-out.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Site Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong commercial/ICI construction experience required.
• Proven experience leading ground-up construction projects valued at $30M+ from mobilization through completion.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors on complex projects.
• Procore experience is an asset.
