THE OPPORTUNITY

Principle Projects Ltd. is an established, 100% woman-owned and 51% Indigenous-owned heavy civil contractor. Since 2006, we have built the critical infrastructure that powers Western Canada—from petroleum refineries and power stations to major dams.

We are looking for a hands-on, safety-driven Concrete & Structural Formwork Supervisor to lead frontline execution across our Alberta project sites. You will be the critical link between the tools and the project superintendent, ensuring every pour is safe, precise, and on schedule.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Seamless Logistics: Fully covered camp lodging and meals, OR pre-approved LOA and travel reimbursement for out-of-town work.
  • Elite Equipment: Work with modern tools, crane-set gang forms, and industry-leading formwork systems (PERI, EFCO, Symons).
  • Real Benefits: Comprehensive Health & Dental coverage (post-probation).
  • Culture & Stability: A respectful, safety-first company culture with direct leadership support and long-term project stability.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive Field Execution: Direct daily site activities for carpenters, finishers, and laborers on heavy civil pours, setting gang forms, footings, piers, walls, and suspended slabs.
  • Enforce Quality Control: Read and interpret structural engineering blueprints and shop drawings. Verify that all formwork is level, plumb, square, and built to precise tolerances before concrete placement.
  • Lead Safety Daily: Champion a zero-incident culture by enforcing OHS regulations. Lead daily toolbox talks, manage FLHAs, and oversee safety documentation.
  • Site Administration: Translate project specs into prioritized daily action plans. Maintain accurate daily logs, material receiving reports, and crew attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Experience: Proven background in industrial concrete construction and heavy formwork supervision, with deep knowledge of traditional cribbing and system forms.
  • Core Skills: Strong blueprint-reading, spatial layout, crew management, and problem-solving abilities. Capable of performing physical field tasks in variable weather conditions.
  • Required Safety Tickets: CSTS-2020, Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level II, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and H2S Alive.
  • Preferred Assets: AIT Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor designation or ACSA Leadership for Safety Excellence.
