We are currently looking for a Foreman. The successful candidate will be an individual with strong communication skills and industry knowledge. They will be able to adapt well under pressure, be self-motivated and take direction well. A team approach is mandatory and will require an open-minded and adaptable work ethic.
The Civil General Foreman is a role that works collaboratively with the Superintendent and Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the project. This position must have a strong understanding of earthworks, general civil, and both shallow and deep utilities. They must be able to engage a team as a leader but also take direction. They have a proven ability to work with and delegate to other roles. Their experience and industry knowledge will contribute to the ongoing management of the project ensuring deliverables are met.

Expectations
• Experienced in Heavy Civil Construction projects specifically utility infrastructure
• Able to make decisions and direct crew on daily activities
• The creation, maintenance, and management of project schedule
• Able to engage a team, and delegate
• Able to participate and contribute to meetings with all stakeholders and managers of the project
• High degree of comfort with all paperwork, and proficient in digital technology required in managing a job site and regulatory requirements
• Proactive and strategic thinker to reduce any risks in safety, environment, and performance
• Effective problem solver in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Working understanding of Provincial environmental and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Proficient in site lay out from survey stakes.


Beneficial but not required
• Experience in GPS machine control and use of rover, base stations etc.
• Advanced operator of all earth-moving equipment
• Gold Seal certified
• First aid trained
• Pipe fusing certifications


Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in Civil Construction specifically in utility infrastructure.
• Able to work shift work and on remote job sites across BC
• Class 5 license
