Installer – Carpentry / Handyman ExperienceLocation: Halifax, NS
Full-Time, Permanent$28-$33/hr, Day shift
Are you mechanically inclined, good with your hands, and comfortable using tools?We are looking for a hands-on Installer to join a growing team in Halifax. You do not need to be a licensed carpenter or have specialized commercial installation experience. We are looking for someone who knows how to measure accurately, use hand and power tools, build or install components, and problem-solve on the job.
If you have experience in carpentry, renovations, handyman work, construction, maintenance, cabinetry, assembly, or installation, this could be a great opportunity to build on your skills.
What You'll Do
  • Install shelving, cabinets, fixtures, panels, hardware, and other specialty products
  • Measure and lay out installation locations using a tape measure and level
  • Use drills, saws, impact drivers, and other hand and power tools
  • Drill, cut, fasten, anchor, fit, and adjust components
  • Read basic drawings, measurements, and installation instructions
  • Ensure finished installations are straight, level, secure, and properly fitted
  • Troubleshoot installation and fit issues on site
  • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment
  • Work alongside other installers and construction trades
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Carpentry or carpenter helper work
  • Handyman or renovation work
  • Construction
  • Cabinet or kitchen installation
  • Property/building maintenance
  • Furniture, fixture, shelving, door, or equipment installation
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Other hands-on trades or installation work
What You Need
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Confident reading and using a tape measure
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Previous hands-on construction, carpentry, maintenance, renovation, assembly, or installation experience
  • Comfortable measuring, drilling, cutting, fastening, leveling, and assembling
  • Able to follow instructions and learn new installation methods
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Reliable and comfortable working as part of a team
  • Able to perform physical work and lift/move materials
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Comfortable working on commercial construction sites
WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid, forklift, or scissor lift certifications are considered assets.What's Offered
