Position

Reporting toto the Sr. Project Manager,South EastConstruction L.P., you willbe responsible foroverseeing all aspects of construction projects, including client relations, cost, schedule, quality and safety.

This position will beMonday to Friday; however, depending on project requirements the schedule may fluctuate.The location for this position will bebased out ofSaskatoon,however project specific locationsarerequired,includingNorthern mines.

Job Duties

• Promote a healthy and positive safe working environment for the project by showing effective leadership and participation in safety related matters.

• Work with Director of Project Delivery for turnoverof awarded projectsfrom estimating to the project team.

• Kick off projects with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Organize project team and manage workloads.

• Direct initiation ofactivities(i.e.procurement, contracts, etc.).

• Work with project teams on effective planning and strategizing to execute projects.

• Work with the team toprovide client reporting including schedule,costand safety.

• Change management reporting (schedule & cost).

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, from property managers to subcontractors.

• Drive theobjectivesof project teams and subcontractors on-site.

• Maintain and liaise with clients, building professional relationships.

• Attend andparticipatein daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required by the client or head office.

• Bring projects in safely, on time, to quality and within budget.

• Forecast project costs to controls team.

• Field audit participation, communication with direct workforce.

• Provide project updates toSouth EastConstructionL.P.scorporatemanagement.

• Estimating of projects asrequired.
  

Qualifications

• Experience in project managementwithfocusonthe mining andindustrialconstructionsectorspreferred, however,willing to train the right candidate.

• Effective leadership, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing, and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic

• Ability to think critically and make independent decisions

• Work in team setting and individually

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellenttrack recordin safety management

• Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative and be a team player

• Computer literacy isa must(MicrosoftOfficeSuite,Primavera)

• Must be legallyentitledto work in Canada

• Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will berequired
