Job Description: Freight Clerk / Logistics Assistant

Nova Staffing is currently hiring a Freight Clerk / Logistics Assistant for a growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, inventory control, or order fulfillment. The successful candidate will support daily freight and logistics operations, coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records, and work closely with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure products move efficiently throughout the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments between production facilities, distribution centres, suppliers, customers, and service providers.
• Prepare shipping documentation and customs paperwork (training provided).
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with carriers, suppliers, customers, and storage facilities.
• Track shipments in transit and communicate delays or issues as they arise.
• Maintain freight contacts and transportation rates.
