Class 3 Tandem Driver

Border Paving Ltd. is currently hiring a Class 3 Tandem Driver. The successful candidate will operate both gravel and water trucks as required to assist with excavation, base work, paving operations and haul road maintenance. Job Responsibilities Operate tandem gravel trucks to haul gravel, base material, excavation material and hot mix asphalt as requiredOperate tandem water trucks for dust control, compaction support and haul road maintenanceHaul materials between pits, plants and construction sites as directedPerform daily equipment inspections and complete minor maintenance when requiredLoad, haul and dump materials safely within active job sitesWork closely with supervisors, operators, and crews to support daily operationsFollow all company safety procedures and participate in daily hazard assessmentsWork extended hours, overtime, weekends and out of town as required during the construction season (May – November)QualificationsValid Class 3 Driver's Licence (driver's abstract required prior to hire)Experience operating water trucks or hauling liquid loads is considered an assetStrong understanding of safe driving practices and site awarenessAbility to complete required documentation accuratelyWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
