We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team in Beechville, Nova Scotia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial driver looking to build a long-term career with a respected leader in the metals distribution and processing industry.The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering steel and metal products while maintaining exceptional customer service and adhering to all company and transportation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to transport steel and metal products.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain driver logs, delivery documentation, and inspection reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members.
• Follow all provincial transportation regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (AZ) Driver's Licence.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience transporting steel or heavy materials is considered an asset.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift, move, and secure steel and metal products.
• Comfortable performing physical work in a warehouse and yard environment.
• Ability to climb on and off commercial vehicles throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Full-time permanent position
• Morning/day shift
• Overtime may be available based on business needs
