Our client, Top Grade Tire Recycling, is a locally owned and operated business specializing in tire collection, recycling, and resale. They support local businesses while contributing to sustainable waste solutions and have built a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and quality service.
They are currently seeking a Truck Team Labourer to support their growing operations. This hands-on role involves safely supporting truck operations, including sorting, inspecting, stacking and cross docking tires for recycling. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, working outside, takes pride in safe driving, and is looking for steady employment with a consistent schedule and long weekends included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and sort tires into reusable and waste categories.
- Efficiently stack tires in trailers and trucks to maximize space and transport capacity.
- Inspect used tires to ensure quality standards are met for resale.
- Load waste tires for shipment to recycling facilities.
- Return reusable tires to the marshaling yard and assist with yard organization.
- Safely operate company trucks to complete scheduled tire pickups and returns to the yard.
- Follow assigned routes and support efficient scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and work environment.
- Represent Top Grade Tire Recycling professionally in all interactions with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license is considered an asset.
- Safe operation and basic maintenance of company vehicles, including 3-ton and 5-ton trucks.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with willingness to work overtime as operational needs require.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour in an outdoor yard environment.
- Ability to follow direction, manage time effectively, and support daily priorities.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Willingness to assist with yard, office, or occasional sales tasks as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Competitive hourly wage of $22–$24 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time schedule with a 4 on/3 off rotation (Tuesday - Friday), supporting work-life balance.
- Overtime opportunities available when required.
This full-time, onsite role involves walking, standing, sitting, and lifting tires independently. Candidates will be required to complete and pass a criminal record check.
